There are people out there who do not believe atheists exist. And what I mean by that is, there are some people, and it may be yourself or somebody you know, who find out that somebody is an atheist. Rather than accepting that at face value, they give a little bit of pushback. They say, “I don't think they really don't believe in God. I think somewhere in the back of their mind, or in the bottom of their heart, they know that God exists and that God loves them. For whatever reason, they're taking that belief, pushing it to the side, and choosing to be an atheist. They're choosing to reject the truth that God is real.” They can come up with all sorts of reasons why somebody would choose to be an atheist. They may say somebody just wants to live a life of sin, that they were offended by God, or that their relationship with God was never very strong in the first place.
